I'm Alive!

No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth! I know it must have appeared that way, since I've been so totally inactive here for so long. But I'm alive and kickin', and living now in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Yes, we finally made that out-of-state move I've been talking about for so long.

We bought a nice little place between Morris and Okmulgee, a manufactured home with three beautiful acres. Actually pretty much agreed to buy it sight unseen, after my husband's aunt looked at it for us and fell in love with the place. We needed something we could move right into when we arrived, to avoid having to unload the U-Haul truck into a storage while we found something, then have to re-load it and move it all yet again - especially since we left all our brawny boys who usually help us with that kind of thing back in California! Anyway, it worked out well, as we also really liked the place once we got here.

So...to sum it up, it's been an extremely busy month. We arrived here on September 1, and have been going at just past lightspeed ever since. We're very tired, but thinking we might be able to slow down and take a few deep breaths now - thank God!

On another happy note, one of my children's stories has been accepted for publication, with a contract pending. My publisher has also shown interest in a book of devotions, the details of which I shall keep to myself for right now - but you'll love it, I promise!

Reminder: The September Goldeneyes contest is winding down, folks! It's a fantastic package - pop on over to my website and check it out. Be sure to visit my sponsors' websites, too - they deserve a little extra traffic for their generosity, don't you think?

That's it for now...I think I'll crawl into my bed and "die" for a day or two... :)

OMG! So no Texas, huh? You have family in Oklahoma, right?

Which publisher? What children's story? Email me personally. I need more details, Sweet Potato!

What a busy lady you are! Isn't moving fun. We moved 19 times in the first 14 years of our marriage. I stopped counting after that. We've been in Costa Rica since 2000 and have only moved 3 times. Seems we are becoming more settled.
Blessing in your new home.

Thank you, Kathie! We moved about that many times in our first 14 years, too. We did, however, stay pretty much within the same town - until we made the leap to Oklahoma. This has been a big change for me. Still, nothing like as far as Costa Rica! I shall count my blessings! :D

Thank you for stopping by.
